For sale is an International COF-4070B Transtar II from 1980/81.

History: The vehicle was originally brought to Austria as a geophysical survey truck to work for ÖMV. After several changes of ownership, it ended up in my possession. Unfortunately, only the base vehicle could be saved from the original configuration, which led to its conversion. The truck has an original 41,000 miles on the odometer.

Documents: The vehicle is registered and classified as a "self-propelled work machine up to 90km/h." Registration plates are currently deposited. The roadworthiness inspection (Pickerl) is valid until 09/2026. In addition, the original manuals, a parts list, and the "Line Setting Ticket" are included. The ticket is essential for ordering and sourcing matching spare parts from the USA and Canada.

Technical specifications: The truck is powered by a 230hp Cummins NH series engine. The gearbox is a Fuller RT-9509. The first driveshaft runs from there to a Spicer transfer case (featuring a PTO), continuing to the twin drive axles.

All driveline components are original and fully functional. However, please note that age-related issues may occur at any time. Some minor tasks remain, such as servicing the cab tilt pump and the Breakmaster unit (all required service parts are included).

Conversion: As previously mentioned, only the chassis of the original vehicle could be preserved, since the superstructure was completely gutted. In order to retain the character of the vehicle, the rebuild was focused on a "work machine" configuration. Instead of lengthy explanations, please refer to the photos for detailed information. Additional information: I am selling the vehicle simply because I have owned it for long enough. Although the restoration is not fully completed (the original fifth wheel plate is still outstanding), I have come a long way within my means. There are also personal reasons for the sale, which I won't go into here.

The vehicle is being sold with complete equipment, including load securing chains, straps, a toolbox, width marker boards, flags, wheel chocks, and more. Also included in the purchase price are various spare parts, service materials, the original seats, filters, Bowden cables, cab marker lights, and essentially everything that has accumulated over the years—excluding personal items that were added during my ownership.

The listed price is negotiable, but please refrain from calling just to ask for the 'lowest price.' To prospective camper van enthusiasts: note that this truck is leaf-sprung and will destroy any melamine tableware. Test drives are possible in principle, but only if weather conditions permit. Familiarity with double-declutching and intermediate throttle is advised. As this is a used vehicle/classic, all forms of warranty, guarantee, return, or refund are excluded.
