CATERPILLAR C4.4 ENGINE

The four-cylinder Caterpillar C4.4 ACERT diesel engine (4.4 L displacement) powers the drive system and the machine's operating units. • Gross power: 55.5 kW / approx. 75 hp

• Net power (per model specifications): 50.9 kW / approx. 69 hp

• Rated engine speed: 2,200 rpm

• Fuel tank capacity: 110 L

• Hydrostatic drive system

• Rated travel speed: up to 16 km/h

• Rated paving speed: up to 30 m/min

Infinitely variable speed control allows the operating pace to be adjusted to mix delivery and job site conditions. Paving, travel, and maneuvering modes facilitate operation during paving and machine relocation.

AS3173 SCREED — PAVING WIDTH 1.70–3.20 M

The installed Caterpillar AS3173 screed allows for hydraulic adjustment of the paving width within a base range of 1.70 to 3.20 m.

Expansion capabilities:

• Width up to 4.00 m with additional extensions

• Width down to 0.65 m with appropriate reduction attachment

• Rated screed cross-slope adjustment: -2.5% to +4.5%

The AS3173 design features electric screed plate heating and a vibration system. The screed forms the pavement surface and provides initial compaction of the mix prior to final compaction by a roller.

MIX FEED SYSTEM

The AP300D model features a front hopper with a rated capacity of approximately 3.8 m³. The mix delivered by the truck is transported via conveyors to the rear of the machine and then distributed by augers located in front of the screed.

Independent control of the conveyors and augers allows the material feed to be adjusted according to the paving width and operating speed. The ability to reverse their direction facilitates control of the mix when finishing a paving run.
